FAQs

Do I have to wear a mask?

No, the mask requirement has been lowered. Our hosts may still choose to wear a mask for their own comfort.

Will there be strangers in the room with us?

Nope! Each reservation is a private booking - regardless of how many players you bring. This has always been, and will always be true, regardless of COVID-19 regulations.

Are we really locked in?

Not really. For safety reasons, you are not physically locked in. However, the room and the story that goes with it provides an immersive experience that you won't want to leave until your time is up.

How old do participants need to be?

Our games are designed with adults in mind but they are also enjoyable for those 13+ who enjoy solving mysteries. Players between 13-18 years old are welcome as part of a team that includes a parent or guardian. Infants in a backpack can be permitted on a case-by-case basis free of charge.

Can I do this with a large group?

Robotic Resurgence and Murder Mystery usually have a maximum capacity of 8. If you want to play with more or can split your group into each room, feel free to email us for special accommodations at cryptidescapes@gmail.com.

I’ve done all the rooms here! Now what?

While we are always trying to come up with more experiences to offer, we do have more rooms at our sister company in Downtown Bellingham: The Eureka Room.

Keep an eye out for more updates on new rooms via our socials: Facebook and Instagram.

When do the gift certificates expire?

Never! Because of the site we use to sell the digital ones, we have to put an expiration date. However, that date is decades from now. So, if we happen to exist then, we’ll still honor it!

To buy a gift certificate, get a digital one on our website or email us for a physical one mailed to you!

Why does my confirmation have a different price than I thought?

Some of our discounts and promotions are done in person. For example, if you have a birthday and you’re booking for a Thursday, we’ll apply that free birthday person discount at the time of your game.

There are also minimum group totals ($90 minimum) that might not always apply at checkout on the website. This is why it’s included in our disclaimers and in the terms and conditions.

We also charge a deposit at the time of your booking to the total of $35. This is applied to your final amount when you show up for your game. We only charge this amount and nothing more when you book in case something comes up and you’re not able to make it to your game or your group size changes.

As always, if you have any questions about payment and discounts, email us or text us at (360) 626-6037

I have more/less/don’t know the amount of players. What do I do?

You don’t have to do anything! Stuff comes up all the time, and we understand how much of a juggle it is to get people together for an activity.

This is why we only charge a deposit when you book; so the total players/total cost can change before your show up for the actual game.

If your entire team cannot make it, you can cancel before the 48 hours in advance for your deposit back via your confirmation email, or emailing us or texting us.

If your team dips below the group minimum (3), you can also let us know via email or text/call as that will change your per-player ticket cost.
